Day 48 (January 30 & 31)

Today we:
(1) Finished our 1920s Comic Strip assignment;
(2) Got into 6 groups and each group took a reading and then reported on it to the class; and
(3) Watched YouTube clips about the 1920s:

*Abbott and Costello - Limburger Cheese
*Abbott and Costello - Barber School.

Today we:
(1) Took a short quiz on the Daily Life in the 1920s notes;
(2) Watched 'The Century - America's Time - 1920-1929 - Boom To Bust'; and
(3) Went over the Personalities of the 1920s PPT and list.
*For homework, pick one personality of the 1920s and come up with a 5-frame comic for that person.

(2) Read our Slang Letters for extra credit if we chose to;
(3) Watched the second half of 'America: The Story Of Us - Boom';
(4) Finished the 'Daily Life in the 1920s' worksheet and PPT; and
(5) Listened to the Abbott and Costello 'Who's On First?' bit.

(1) Turned in WWI Key Terms;
(2) Did an introductory discussion of the 1920s;
(3) Started on the worksheet 'Daily Life in the 1920s' and viewed the accompanying PPT; and
(4) Received the 'Jazz Age Glossary' worksheet and, for an assignment, have to write a letter using at least 30 of the terms from the sheet.

(1) Did a travel brochure using the 'Pages' App on the Laptops. Each partnership picked 1 (one) historical place in the U.S. from the list provided by Mr. Schaber and made a travel brochure for that location.
