Day 12 (September 27 & 28)

Today we:
(1) Finished Ch. 6 Key Terms & PPT;
(2) Talked about the Star-Spangled Banner and its history; and
(3) Watched the 'Presidents' video about Washington and Jefferson.

Day 11 (September 25 & 26)

Today we:
(1) Turned in our map assignment;
(2) Watched a clip from 'America: The Story Of Us' - Westward; and
(3) Did the Lewis and Clark online assignment.

Day 10 (September 21 & 24)

Today we:
(1) Started Ch. 6 notes;
(2) Looked at reprints of Lewis and Clark maps from the early 1800s;
(3) Watched a video clip about early American exploration; and
(4) Were assigned a map activity due next time - draw a map from your house to school

Day 9 (September 19 & 20)

Today we:
(1) Took a quiz on Chapter 4;
(2) Did Chapter 5 notes and PPT; and
(3) Did a quick overview of the Constitution.

Day 8 (September 17 & 18)

Today we:
(1) Looked at and talked about the Revolutionary War posters that students created;
(2) Finished Ch. 4 terms and PPT; and
(3) Read and discussed 'Christopher Seider and Samuel Maverick: Martyrs of the Revolution.'

Day 7 (September 13 & 14)

Today we:
(1) Started Chapter 4 Notes and PPT;
(2) Watched a short video clip ('French and Indian War to Lexington eleven minutes) on YouTube about the French and Indian War; and
(3) Assigned students a Propaganda Poster - they are to imagine they were at the Boston Massacre and are to create a poster promoting American liberty.

Day 6 (September 11 & 12)

Today we:
(1) Reviewed Chapter 3 Notes;
(2) Took a quiz on Chapter 3; and
(3) Did readings "Olaudah Equiano" and "Eliza Lucas" and discussed them.

Day 5 (September 7 & 10)

Today we:
(1) Took a quiz on Chapter 2 Notes;
(2) Completed Chapter 3 Notes and PPT, and had a discussion on the chapter.

Day 4 (September 5 & 6)

Today we:
(1) Took a quiz on Chapter 1;
(2) Completed Chapter 2 Notes and PPT;
(3) Read a historical description of the Mayflower; and
(4) Did a class reading about the Salem Witch Trials.
